'Arrow Season 3' Features Nolan Funk; Fellow 'Glee' Alum Charice Talks Being Gay, Suicide With Oprah Winfrey
"Glee" alum Nolan Funk is confirmed to be appearing on the third season of "Arrow," Cartermatt has learned.
Titled "The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak," the Nov. 5 episode of "Arrow Season 3" is set to reveal things about Felicity played by Emily Bett Rickards.
As stated in the recently released synopsis, Felicity and Oliver played by Stephen Amell will be "pushed to their limits to contain the destruction" caused by the cyber-attack that brought Starling City "to its knees."
As a guest star, Nolan will play Felicity's former boyfriend. There are no further details released about Funk's character.
Also appearing as a guest star in the said "Arrow Season 3" episode are Charlotte Ross playing Donna, Felicity's mother, and JR Ramirez playing Ted Grant who will question the motives of Laurel played by Katie Cassidy.
Meanwhile, Nolan's fellow "Glee" alum Charice Pempengco appeared on the Oct. 19 episode of Oprah Winfrey's "Where Are They Now" special on the OWN channel.
One of the things the 22-year-old "Pyramid" hit maker talked about was the rumors that she slashed her wrist in an attempt to take her own life.
"I thought of it, killing myself. I thought of it," Charice told Oprah but denied slashing her my wrists.
Before meeting Oprah, Charice won as a runner-up in a singing competition on Philippine television.
Charice was already enjoying an international fame as a singer when she decided to come out as gay.
"I just want to share my story to help other people out there who have a similar situation to mine, about being gay," she told Oprah adding she was five when she realized she was gay.
For Charice, transitioning into a man is not something she is planning to do as her "soul is male" but she is not going to change everything.
She broke into tears when she talked about her father's funeral with Oprah, who was recently spotted at the Toyota Center in Houston for the "Oprah's The Life You Want Weekend" event, Culture Map Houston reported.
In 15 years before her father died, Charice had not spoken to him, Daily Mail has learned.
