'American Horror Story' & 'Glee' Creators Bringing New Horror Comedy 'Scream Queens' to FOX in 2015
FOX is bringing a new series to their network in 2015 from "American Horror Story" creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, as well "Glee" co-creator Ian Brennan.
The new show will be called "Scream Queens" and is labeled a horror-comedy. The show will be set up as a anthology series, the way "AHS" runs. The first season is scheduled to have 15 episodes and is set to premiere in the Fall of 2015.
The premise of the show will be about a college campus shaken by a series of murders. Each new season will feature different locations and plots, as is the case with "American Horror Story" on FX.
Murphy released a statement that reads, "I knew I wanted to work with Brad and Ian again on something comedic, and we are having a blast writing Scream Queens. We hope to create a whole new genre-comedy-horror-and the idea is for every season to revolve around two female leads. We've already begun a nationwide search for those women, as well as 10 other supporting roles, and we're very grateful to Dana and Gary for their enthusiastic support."
"American Horror Story" just premiered Season 4 on FX and has been renewed already for Season 5, so Murphy will be staying busy with multiple projects.
"Glee" will be airing their final season on FOX starring Lea Michele. The series is still reeling from the tragic death of Cory Monteith last Summer.
