'Spaceballs': The Craze if Christopher Nolan Direct the Movie
"Spaceballs", an American comic sci-fi parody film of 1987, is directed and co-written by Mel Brooks, which stars himself, John Candy, Bill Pullman, and Rick Moranis. This also features Joan Rivers' voice, Daphne Zuniga and Dick Van Patten. Release on June 24, 1987 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, the film received mixed reviews and later became the cult classic and most popular films of Mel Brooks. The plot of the film and its characters actually parody the Star Wars trilogy and some science fiction franchises such as "Planet of the Apes," "Alien" and "Star Trek."
Recently, when the trailer of Christopher Nolan's "Interstellar" was released, many people responded and said that if Christopher Nolan direct the movie "Spaceballs," would it still be humorous or will it make a difference?
According to Dorkly, it is surprisingly simple to make any movie like a super-dramatic and hyper-meaningful Christopher Nolan film. Even the film of Mel Brooks "Spaceballs" can have the same visual effects.
Based on College Humor, the difference between "Spaceballs" and "Interstellar" is all in the trailer editing. Mel Brooks' "Spaceballs" might not be a science fiction film that is mind-bending. But, this is may be because its trailer did not have the right screen edits and score. Add in several brooding music. Then, all of sudden, Rick Moranis seems to be a sinister villain and John Candy seems to be a bit deeper.
With the increasing popularity of "Insterstellar", an upcoming Christopher Nolan's film that is making rounds, there are viewers who took a jab at the long time composer and collaborator of Nolan, Hans Zimmer, whose scores have become ubiquitous with the hype of this epic blockbuster and losing their meaning. After this, a mash-up trailer for the "Spaceballs" of Mel Brooks was uploaded according to Death and Taxes Mag.
However, even if Christopher Nolan did not direct "Spaceballs", Mel Brooks still did a great job in providing a film that will not just bring viewers to outer space, but also would give an unforgettable humor, which other directors can't incorporate in their sci-fi movies. Yet, the upcoming movie of Christopher Nolan, "Insterstellar" is a must watch sci-fi film.
