Jack Reacher 2 Spoilers, News, Release Date and Other News: Production and Release Delayed

In 2012, people from around the globe have been wowed by Tom Cruise as he played the main character in the thriller movie, Jack Reacher, an adaptation of a novel by Lee Child, One Shot. The film earned a respectable $218 million worldwide, but to that's just not enough for the producers to getting the next installment a go.

On the present day, after finding out why the film failed to find a lot of audience during its showing days, the producers decided to give the second installment a shot. Thus, Tom Cruise's faithful fans will once again be swooped from their feet as a sequel of the movie will be on its way soon.

Jack Reacher 2 will be based on another book of Lee Child, Never Go Back. The story takes after Reacher as he sets out to meet Major Susan Turner in Virginia, only to be under arrest upon his arrival, and finds out that Susan might also be in a bad situation.​

Child told Empire that the screenplay ought to be done soon, though he didn't mention the name of the writer, or writers, responsible. 

​He also shared that since Christopher McQuarrie is currently working on a different movie and just couldn't physically make it, the production and release of Jack Reacher 2 might get delayed. Now the producers are focusing on a 2015 production start date for the spin-off which could be released a year after the production, unless some new creative minds step-in for McQuarrie for a while​.

So the question now is will Jack Reacher 2 have new creative minds working behind it, and will this movie be much better than the previous one?
