Alberto Iglesias' Soundtrack to "Exodus: Gods and Kings" is Now Available

One of this year's most anticipated movies is Ridley Scott's "Exodus: Gods and Kings." Accompanying the release is the soundtrack which is already available. For the score to the biblical epic, Iglesias took on a historic yet modern feel. The score was record at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, where The Beatles recorded their hits and John Williams recorded the "Star Wars" saga and Howard Shore his epic "The Lord of the Rings."
The film score for the upcoming epic action-adventure Exodus: Gods and Kings was composed by three-time Academy Award nominee Alberto Iglesias. Iglesias is known for his European scores for the past 20 years and for his work with arthouse favorite Pedro Almodovar. Iglesias won Best Score at the European Film Awards and the World Soundtrack Award for Composer of the Year for Volver for Amodovar. With The Skin I Live In, Iglesias became the all-time leading Goya recipient in the history of Spanish Cinema and was honored with Composer of the Year Award at the 2011 Hollywood Film Festival.
Iglesias was nominated for Academy Award for his scores for "Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy," "The Constant Gardener" and "The Kite Runner." BAFTA also nominated Iglesias for the three scores, He also pulled in a Golden Globe nomination for The Kite Runner.
"Exodus:Gods and Kings" revolve around the Biblical story of Moses as narrated in the book of Exodus. Egyptian Princes Moses (Christian Bale) and Ramses (Joel Edgerton) are raised together as brothers. When Ramses becomes pharaoh, Moses is his most-trusted adviser. However Moses soon discovers his Hebrew parentage, and Ramses banishes him to the desert -- often a death sentence. But God has a mission for Moses: Free the Israelites from slavery. Moses returns from exile and demands that Ramses let his people go, but the arrogant ruler is unmoved, leading to a battle of divine wills.
