Adia Releases "Rags to Riches" Music Video For Debut Single, Debut Album Behind Enemy Lines Coming Summer 2014 |
Adia has released her first video of her debut single, "Rags to Riches" featuring Sean Simmonds. Adia is Xist Music's first female recording artist and highlights the realities of life, and how keeping the faith can carry one through even the toughest of times, including a verbally and physically abusive relationship. The single is a sample of Adia's debut album Behind Enemy Lines which hits retailers Summer 2014.
"I am so excited to share my art with the world," said Adia. "I believe that my generation will appreciate the transparency of the 'Rags to Riches' visual and be able to receive and witness the Love of Jesus in a new way."
Produced by Fred "Blaze" Crawford, with Champion Music Group, and directed by Courtney "Noyz" C. of Gravitii Films, "Rags to Riches" dramatically captures the harsh effects of alcohol abuse, but what begins as a dark video, eventually shines through with a light at the end of the tunnel. Furthermore, Adia, Crawford and "Noyz" manage to show how anyone can overcome pain and threatening habits with the resilience and the strength of The Lord.
Adia, born Destiny Adia Andrews, spent her formative years surrounded by the strong and supportive influences of her family. She released her first single, "One Day at a Time," via Emerged Records in 2012 and dedicated all proceeds of that record to victims of the 2011 Tornado Disasters. Adia is now part of the Xist Music family, having signed as the first female recording artist in August 2013. She is currently recording her upcoming album, "Behind Enemy Lines" due out summer 2014.
