Unspoken Releases "Unplugged" on April 28

Unspoken, who has recently scored a #1 with "Start a Fire," will release Unplugged April 28th. The album features acoustic versions of several of the band's hits; the Top 5 song "Who You Are," the latest single "Good Fight," and "Start A Fire." At the same time, the project also contains five new songs co-written byUnspoken including, "Broken Man," "Green Light," "Born With A Broken Heart," and "Solid Rock."
Unplugged will be available at all digital music outlets and on Unspoken's tour dates."Unspoken is such a unique band as the group has two distinctive sides," states Steve Ford, General Manager, Centricity Music. "On one side is the high energy full band you hear on the self-titled debut, and on the other side is the acoustic version. During every show they strip the sound down to let the acoustic guitars and vocals take over, which becomes the highlight of the show. We wanted to document this 'other side' and that is where this record came from.""
This Unplugged project was a very gratifying record for us to create," adds Chad Mattson, lead singer for Unspoken. "Putting new faces on some familiar songs and recording a few of those 'gems' that didn't quite find a spot on our previous records. Stripping songs back to their organic state is something we have always loved and recording together in one big room couldn't have been more spiritual, intimate and flat out fun. Enjoy!"
Unspoken launched its first headlining tour March 12th, which also features labelmates JJ Weeks and Jonny Diaz. The Start A Fire Tour will visit 29 cities and will conclude May 10th in Pennsylvania. Unspoken will treat audiences to a full band and acoustic performances on the tour.Unspoken's current single, "Good Fight," is No. 13 on Billboard's NCA chart and No. 7 on the CHR chart. The song is from the band's first full self-titled album that released a year ago to critical acclaim with Crosswalk.com saying, "thrillingly diverse collection of songs" and Barnes&Noble adding, "band widely considered to be among the most promising acts in Christian music."
The album reached the Top Ten on Billboard's Current Contemporary Album chart and the lead single, "Start A Fire," became the fastest rising song of Unspoken's career. The video for the song was shot in five major cities while Unspoken was on tour last year and has reached over 3-million views. For more information about Unspoken visit: www.unspokenmusic.com, www.facebook.com/unspokenmusic, www.twitter.com/unspokenmusic.
