"The Voice's" Jordan Smith's "Great is Thy Faithfulness" is Now a #1 Song

Instead of returning with yet another pop hit, "The Voice" contestant Jordan Smith reaches back to his Christian roots to perform the hymn "Great is Thy Faithfulness." Not only did Smith's own powerful voice carry the song, but he was center stage as the only musician of the piece as well, accompanying himself on the piano.
The performance received yet another standing ovation from the judges -- and a hug from Adam Levine -- there was nothing but gratitude shown to Smith. "Coming off the weekend and the horrible things that happened over in Paris and kind of having a heavy heart the past few days," Blake Shelton begins. "Thank you for that. It was beautiful."
Last week, Jordan Smith's "Halo" debuted at #88 on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100 chart. This week, his "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" debuts at an even more impressive position."Great Is Thy Faithfulness," which became the first song to dethrone Adele's "Hello" on the US iTunes single sales chart, takes #3 on the overall Digital Songs chart. Even though it was available for only half the November 13-19 tracking week, it posted a greater weekly sales total than everything except Adele's "Hello" and Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself."
Smith's "Great is Thy Faithfulness" also debuts at #1 on Billboard's Christian songs chart knocking Hillsong United's "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)" off the pole position and preventing Chris Tomlin's "Good Good Father" from reaching the top position.
