'The Voice' NBC Season 6 Jake Worthington Performance of Jake Owen's "Anywhere With You" for Team Blake, Watch Here (VIDEO)
"The Voice" Season 6 continued this week on NBC with the first episodes of the 'playoff' rounds. Blake Shelton was the first coach up and he had to pick three of his remaining five contestants to represent Team Blake in the 'Live Round' Finals.
Jake Worthington, Blake's remaining male country singer, took the stage and chose to perform Jake Owen's song "Anywhere with You" for his chance to advance into the next round. Jake gave another strong performance and proved once again to the audience and to his coach Blake that he is improving each week deserved to move on to the next round (watch his performance above). Jake is by far one of the most likable contestants on "The Voice" this season. He auditioned last year and got cut in the 'blind auditions' and came back this year showing much improvement, which makes you root for him. Then, his personality is just so humble and reserved, yet he sings with more confidence each week. He truly is becoming a contender to win the whole show this year, getting stronger each week.
At the end of the night, Blake Shelton had to make the difficult decision on which three contestants from his team to advance. Along with Jake, he chose Sisaundra Lewis and Audra McLaughlin to represent Team Blake in the 'Live Rounds'. This coming week, two more coaches will have to cut their teams down as well.
Adam Levine (Team Adam) is coming off of winning last season (Season 5) and has a very strong team this year so far. Blake Shelton (Team Blake) won three seasons in a row (Seasons 2-4) and is looking to win back the crown. Newcomers Usher (Team Usher) and Shakira (Team Shakira) are on their second season of the show after both being on Season 4. They are both looking for their first win as a part of the hit singing competition.
You can watch "The Voice" on NBC on Monday/Tuesday nights at 8/7c.
