Original IONA Founders Reunite for 30th Anniversary Recording of 'Alpha & Omega' Project

Dave Bainbridge and David Fitzgerald, original founding members of the band IONA, will reunite and join British artist Adrian Snell for a special 30th Anniversary Recording of 'Alpha & Omega'; the 1986 album that brought them together and introduced Bainbridge to IONA singer Joanne Hogg. A crowdfunding campaign for the project is currently live at https://igg.me/at/adriansnell.
Adrian Snell celebrates four decades in music and is currently a music therapist in Bath, UK. The crowdfunding campaign will run its course until August 30th, 2016. Contributors will have exclusive access to never before heard live recordings from 30 years ago, study guides for the music and personal ´meet & greets´ with Snell, which include unique online choir-coachings.
In October, Snell will visit the Netherlands with a band that will include Dave Bainbridge, David Fitzgerald and current IONA drummer Frank van Essen for a string of performances that will lay the foundation of what will become a re-recording of the 1986 original 'Alpha & Omega'. The album at the time was followed by the poignant 'Song of an Exile' that further explored the roots of faith in light of mankind´s darkest hours. Songs from both projects were performed live by Snell in the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial in Jerusalem. He is one of the few artists in history to have been granted this opportunity.
