10 Years Ago Jaime Jamgochian's "Hear My Worship" was #1

Ten years ago, Jaime Jamgochian achieved a major milestone in her recording career..... a #1 single on the national Christian charts with "Hear My Worship." This is the follow-up to the top 10 single "Love Rains Down" from Jamgochian's debut CD, Reason To Live, which was released via Word Distribution on June 6, 2006. The CD was immediately heralded as a breakthrough project for Jamgochian and continues to receive critical acclaim from media, radio, and retail.
"Jaime's music just blew me away when I first heard it," exclaims John McClain, Assistant Program Director/Morning Air Personality, KCBI-FM/Dallas. "She has the unique ability to sing right through to the heart with intense emotion. In a word, Jaime's music is worship. I don't know if she realizes just how special she is....what a talent! Reason To Live is a must-have."
Jamgochian gave a debut performance of "Hear My Worship" at 2006's GMA 5th Annual Worship Breakfast, where 500 radio programmers gave it an enthusiastic response. The song was co-written by Jamgochian and Sam Mizell and features the powerful lyrics: "Here as I worship You/I long to be more honest/Long to be more free; I long to be more real/I long to be more transparent/As You see my true intentions."
"This song was written during a time when God was really challenging my heart to be honest and real with Him," says Jamgochian. "I was in the middle of a writing period for the new CD, Reason To Live, with numerous co-writing appointments and I started feeling stale and kind of on a treadmill to get the songs finished quickly for the new album. During my frustrating writing season, I was at my keyboard, playing, praying, and started singing this song to Him. My hope for this tune is that it will convey that every part of our lives hopefully displays true worship to God."
"All of us at Centricity are incredibly excited for Jaime," states Steve Ford, Vice President, Marketing, Centricity Records. "She has worked hard to let people know about this song - early morning radio visits and long treks to the next city being the least - and all that hard work has paid off. We are proud of Jaime and the team around her for the diligence and dedication to 'Hear My Worship."We know this is just the beginning for Jaime, as there are many more great worship songs to follow."
