Pitch Perfect 2 Hitting Theaters May 2015, Rebel Wilson Releases First Photo From Set [PICTURES]
Pitch Perfect 2 has been announced for months and now the cast is officially back together for rehearsals to prepare for filming. Rebel Wilson tweeted a photo from the first day of rehearsals, along with co-stars Elizabeth Banks (who is also directing the sequel), Brittany Snow, and Ester Dean. She wrote, "@rebelwilson: "1st day of PP2 rehearsals! @EsterDean @Brittanysnow @kelleyjakle @AlexisKnapp @hanamaelee @ElizabethBanks x"
Co-star Anna Kendrick told Us Weekly awhile back that she didn't know too much about the script yet, but "I think, like musically, the theme is going to be a different kind of theme musically. I mean, I'm sort of speculating, like I don't really know. I've heard, like, whispers of rumors. But I think tomorrow we're going to get into the actual music. I mean I've signed on with no script, so you know, if it becomes about parasailing instead of singing, don't blame me!"
The official pitch perfect twitter page sent out this picture as well to get fans excited for the movie saying, @pitchperfect: "RT if you can't wait! @AnnaKendrick47 & @RebelWilson are back in #PitchPerfect2!!"
Pitch Perfect 2 will be directed and produced by Elizabeth Banks along with co-producers Kay Cannon, Paul Brooks, Max Handelman, Scott Niemeyer and Jeff Levine. The movie is written by Kay Cannon from Gold Circle Films and distributed by Universal Pictures. Pitch Perfect 2 is currently set to be released to theaters on May 15, 2015.
Pitch Perfect released in September 2012 and became a surprise hit with a relatively unknown cast following a college female a cappella group, The Barden Bellas, as they fight to make their way to nationals.
