Guy Penrod Returns with New Album "Classics"

Former lead singer of the Gaither Vocal Band, Guy Penrod returns with "Classics" on March 10. Released by Gaither Music, the set features brand new recording of Guy Penrod singing his most well-known songs. One of gospel music's most celebrated vocalists, GRAMMY® Award-winning Guy Penrod has captured some of his biggest hits and most requested songs.
Originally performed during his 14-year career with the Gaither Vocal Band, this newly-recorded collection of timeless favorites showcases the unmistakable delivery of this powerhouse vocalist known for his heartfelt renditions of hope-filled classics, including "Because He Lives," "The Old Rugged Cross Made The Difference" and more.
Guy Penrod spent 14 years as the lead singer of the Gaither Vocal Band before launching a successful solo ministry with combined career sales now in excess of four million units.
One of the most in-demand touring artists in Christian music and a vocal powerhouse, Penrod has made multiple media appearances including radio's "The Mike Huckabee Show," RFD TV's top-rated "Larry's Country Diner" and one of North America's most popular Christian television programs "100 Huntley Street." Additionally, he hosts DayStar Television's Emmy Award-winning "Gospel Music Showcase" program.
Penrod's music has been heralded in the gospel as well as country formats. He has appeared on "The Grand Ole Opry" and on numerous country recordings. In 2011, he became a Texas Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductee; he was inducted alongside the Gaither Vocal Band into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2014.
