Worship Leader Jonathan Lee Songwriting & Artist Deal with CentricWorship
Dove-nominated songwriter and worship leader, Jonathan Lee, has signed a songwriting and artist deal with CentricWorship and Centricity Publishing, LLC. Lee had been signed with Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing, in which he had songs cut by the Newsboys, For King And Country, Phillips, Craig & Dean, Selah, Melinda Doolittle and Mikeschair. Lee is also the writer of "When The Stars Burn Down," a Dove nominated Worship Song of the Year, and top CCLI church favorite.
"I have waited a long time for the opportunity to work with Jonathan Lee," says Steve Rice, Vice President of Centricity Publishing and founder of CentricWorship. "From the very first time I met him, I was sold. This is a young man who is full of life and full of God. Not only does he have a powerful ministry as a worship leader, but over the last 5 years he has become a noteworthy songwriter for many popular Christian artists, and for the church at large. I am truly looking forward to helping this talented and anointed young man create and deliver his first album on CentricWorship."
Jonathan Lee will write and lead worship for the CentricWorship brand as part of this new partnership and also will continue writing for other Christian and worship artists as a staff songwriter for Centricity Publishing. "I am excited that God led me to Centricity, and I can't wait to see what God is going to do with this partnership," says Lee. "I have a huge heart for the church and seeing people get closer to Jesus. Centricity shares that heart and together we can help equip the church to draw closer to God so that He will draw closer to us."
Centricity Publishing, LLC was founded in 2005 with a commitment to artist development. A family-owned organization based in Franklin, TN, Centricity's mission is to enable artists to create life-changing experiences for the world, and their songs are heard by Christian music fans everywhere, from Sunday morning worship to radio airwaves. Artists such as Michael W. Smith, the Newsboys, MercyMe, Kari Jobe, Francesca Battistelli, and Jason Gray have all recorded Centricity published songs, and their compositions are highly sought after by Christian music labels around the country.
