Maroon 5 Signs World Tour Deal With Live Nation 2014, Tour News Coming
Pop/Rock band, Maroon 5 has announced that they have signed a worldwide tour deal with Live Nation and will be announcing more tour dates and info soon. They were previously signed on with the A&M/Octone label.
The three time Grammy Award-winning band has become one of the most popular touring bands in the world and wrapped up one of the highest-grossing tours of 2013 with over $50 million in ticket sales.
They will be releasing their new fifth studio album, V, in September 2014 from Interscope Records.
They released an official statement on their site saying, "(V) was recorded in LA over the past year and will be released on September 2nd, 2014. The band worked with producers Max Martin, Benny Blanco, Ryan Tedder, Shellback and Sam Martin, and the release sees Maroon 5 reuniting with long-time keyboardist Jesse Carmichael who took a hiatus while the band recorded 2012's Overexposed."
Today, the "Harder to Breathe" band tweeted that their first single off of the new album would be the song "Maps" and will be released on June 16.
Maroon 5 is officially working on the follow-up album to the mega-successful Overexposed LP that spawned hits The Los Angeles-based rockers This would be the follow-up album to their 2012 release of Overexposed that debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and included the songs, "Love Somebody," Payphone," and "One More Night." They set a record for the most No. 1's (six in all) by a group in the Billboard Top 40 chart's 20-year history.
Their singer, Adam Levine, has gained more national spotlight the last few years as one of the coaches/judges on the popular TV singing competition show "The Voice" on NBC. Adam has been on "The Voce" since it began, Season 7 will air this Fall on NBC.
They captured the Grammy Awards for "Best New Artist" in 2005 and have gone on to sell more than 17 million albums worldwide. Maroon 5's releases have gone gold and platinum in over 35 countries.
