The Little Roy & Lizzy Show Honored at 49th GMA Dove Awards

StowTown Records artist, The Little Roy & Lizzy Show, was honored with the win for Bluegrass/Country/Roots Song of the Year at this year's GMA Dove Awards. Their song, "Dinner on the Ground,"features their friends the Oak Ridge Boys and was the number one song on the Singing News Bluegrass chart in August. It was written by Joel Lindsey, Jeff Bumgardner and StowTown's own Wayne Haun.
"How many people get to say they have won an award with the Oak Ridge Boys?" asks Lizzy Long. "One of my dreams has come true! We are so ecstatic!"
Joe Bonsall of the Oak Ridge Boys shares, "We knew when we recorded the song with Little Roy & Lizzy that it was very special. We are so happy that it was special enough to win a Dove. We sincerely love them both and we are so happy for them...and for us as well!"
StowTown Records co-owner and CEO Landon Beene summed up the evening with this thought, "Our goal for StowTown Records has always been to create music in a broad spectrum of genres within Christian music. I couldn't be more proud to have had nominations in several categories at this year's GMA Dove Awards, and I'm even more excited with the success of The Little Roy & Lizzy Show in the Bluegrass category. They are wonderful artists and very deserving of this recognition."
The Dove-award winning song "Dinner on the Ground" is on the CD project Going Home, which is distributed by Sony/Provident. The 49th GMA Dove Awards will be broadcast on Trinity Broadcasting Network on Sunday, October 21, at 9:00 PM.
