“The Plague” and Other Reign Season 2 Spoilers You Should Watch Out For
During the last episode of Season 1, the creature known as Darkness was killed by Bash (Torrance Coombs) to save Kenna (Caitlin Stacey) and the young boy Pascal (Lucius Hoyos) from being sacrificed to the gods. Darkness said that sacrificing them would have appeased the gods and would have stopped them from releasing the plague. The premier episode of Reign Season 2, aptly entitled "The Plague," takes off at the point. It will air on October 2 of 2014 at its regular Thursday time slot right after The Vampire Diaries. According to CW, filming for the first episode just started this July.
The full cast for Season 2 has not yet been released but one thing is for sure - there will be four new characters who will be introduced in the hit historical fiction TV drama. Claude, the daughter of King Henry II (Allan van Sprang) and Catherine de Medici (Megan Follows) has been described by TVLine as "a very sexually advanced" young lady with a penchant for mischief. Narcisse, a much older woman than her, will likely serve as her mother's newest sparring partner. Then there's Thomas, who "may be the next king of France sooner than he'd imagined." And finally there's the "Prince of the Blood," Conde, said to be a general in the French army.
Jonathan Keltz, a recurring guest star during Season 1, becomes a series regular starting Season 2. He plays Leith Bayard, who it seems has developed a budding attraction with Yvette Castleroy (Sara Winter).
