From Drug Addiction To The GRAMMYs: Joseph Habedank Reflects on His GRAMMY Nomination

Joseph Habedank received a GRAMMY® Award nomination for his project, Deeper Oceans. This marks the second career nomination for Habedank, the first nomination occurred for Resurrection, released in 2017.
Habedank released the following statement today: "It is humbling to think that 7 years ago I was a patient at Cumberland Heights drug and alcohol treatment center. This is a full circle moment for me: from drug addiction to a GRAMMY nomination. Only God could do that. I want to thank every single person who worked on this project, but especially my incredible record company, Daywind Records, and my incomparable producer, Wayne Haun."
Habedank's struggle with prescription drugs led the talented singer/songwriter down a path of destruction, ending up in rehab. Habedank thought his career was over but is currently 7 years sober - and counting. The Recording Academy will present the GRAMMY® Awards on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, live from Los Angeles' STAPLES Center.
The event is set to be broadcast on the CBS Television Network from 8:00 - 11:30 PM. ET/5:00-8:30 PM. PT.
