Dick Whitehouse, Longtime Curb Records CEO, Dies

Dick Whitehouse, Curb Records' longtime CEO, has died. The late executive passed away Tuesday evening surrounded by his family. Whitehouse spent 35 years as CEO for the company throughout his 55 tenure. At the time of his death, he was stills serving as a board member and trustee.
Curb Records is the recording home of numerous Christian music artists (such as We Are Messengers, Sarah Reeves, Stars Go Dim, Natalie Grant, for King and Country, Sidewalk Prophets, Francesca Battistelli and many others) as well as country music artists (such as Lee Brice, American Young, Rodney Atkins, Dylan Scott, Mo Pitney, Wynonna Judd and many others).
"No one has ever done more for Curb Records than Dick Whitehouse," Curb Records chairman Mike Curb said in a statement. "He was there from our start in 1964 and was responsible for some of the greatest artist signings in the history of our company. Dick was that rare record executive who understood the totality of our complicated industry."
In a statement, Curb said Whitehouse was surrounded by his wife Joan, his two daughters, Shelley and Debbie, and all of his grandchildren at the time of his death, "sharing in what the family referred to as a living memorial."
The family does not plan for a funeral service. Those with tributes to Whitehouse can email them via [email protected] to be passed along to his family.
