Luke Wareham and Rachel Mason to Release New EP "Whisper" March 27

UK worship leaders Luke Wareham and Rachel Mason will release their first 5 track studio EP 'Whisper' on the 27th March. Luke and Rachel are worship leaders and songwriters based in the South West of the UK. They have a passion for writing songs that lead people into the presence of God, that help people fix their eyes on Jesus and to experience afresh the healing power of the Holy Spirit.
They have worked with their good friend Ollie Morris on the EP, a songwriter, producer and worship leader based in Bristol. Luke tells how he actually went round Rachel's house for keyboard lessons but after hearing some of the songs he had written Rachel encouraged him to get the songs produced for others to hear!
Luke and Rachel's prayer has always been that these songs will bring hope to a broken world, speaking prophetically the truth of Jesus into everyday life situations. They pray that the songs on the EP will help people to have a sense of wonder and love from God that will help them get through everyday life and to fix their eyes on Jesus. Luke says that when writing the EP, he reflected on a quote by John Ortberg which says 'I need to worship because without it I lose the sense of wonder and gratitude and plod through life with blinkers on'. His hope is that the songs help people in everyday life to worship Jesus. In this current challenging climate, the word needs this kind of hope!
'Shadows' a song on the EP is a song that Luke and Rachel have been leading at churches and various events for a while now. The song proclaims the victory of Jesus and that we can hold on to Jesus who never gives up on us. The hope of the cross takes away all fear as the light of Jesus shines through the darkness in our lives.
Another song on the EP 'Faithful Friend' is a song Luke wrote during a 24/7 prayer week at his church. The song reflects on how we are made for a close friendship with God as we live in unity together for God's kingdom. He felt God say that he does not just want us to know about him; he wants us to experience his friendship. God knows us better than we know ourselves, and he loves us more deeply than anyone else ever could. He is faithful, he is close and he will never leave us. As we surrender to Jesus we get to know him better.
The EP is available to stream and download on all music platforms and their YouTube channel has their lyric videos. The chords to the songs are available to download via SongSelect.
With the release of 'Whisper' EP Luke and Rachel are already making plans and started writing songs for a second EP! They would love to share the songs with the wider church and are looking at doing a tour so do get in touch if you would like to host them! They will be leading worship in the local church and at various events and conferences during 2020.
