MercyMe Debuts Brand New Song, "Hurry Up and Wait"

On the heels of their 48th #1 song "Almost Home," which held the top spot on Billboard's AC Indicator, Monitored, National Christian Audience and Mediabase Christian Audience and Christian AC charts for a combined total of 17 weeks, multi-platinum band MercyMe is unveiling their brand new song, "Hurry Up And Wait," today across all DSP platforms.
"'Hurry Up And Wait' is a new song we started well over a year ago," comments lead singer Bart Millard. "We didn't plan on it taking this long to get out, but it is pretty timely that it's finally ready. It reminds us that those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. I know we can all use a little extra strength these days."
Alongside the new track MercyMe will simultaneously premier a music video and lyric video during a Facebook Live and YouTube livestream event today at 4pm EST.
Following back to back successful spring and fall 2019 Imagine Nation Tours, MercyMe completed much of their MercyMe 20/20 Tour this spring, which featured Jeremy Camp and David Leonard. All tour dates that were postponed can be found at mercyme.org.
The GRAMMY® nominated, multiple American Music Award and Dove Award winning band celebrated two new RIAA certifications late last year commemorating the 4x Platinum certification of their debut album, Almost There, and the Platinum certfication of their 2018 single "Even If."
2019 reaped both GRAMMY® and Billboard Music Award nominations for MercyMe, all following the box office shattering film I CAN ONLY IMAGINE inspired by frontman Bart Millard's real-life story behind the beloved MercyMe song.Currently in the studio, the band plans to release a new full-length project later this year or early 2021.
