Greg Laurie Debuts in Top 100 US Podcasts with More than 1 Million Downloads
Greg Laurie, pastor and founder of the Harvest churches in California and Hawaii and of Harvest Crusades, debuted at no. 47 on Triton Digital's top 100 U.S. Podcast Report, receiving roughly 30,000 unique listens daily and more than 1 million downloads in its first month of streaming.
"For many of our listeners, our podcast is a lifeline," Greg Laurie said. "As with everything Harvest does, our goal for listeners is that they would find hope through a personal relationship with God."
In April 2020, after 13 years of publishing Laurie's Sunday morning sermons and crusades, Harvest decided to relaunch under the title Greg Laurie Podcast. Under the new name, Harvest created a one-stop podcast hosting all of their best content with the goal of maximizing distribution and reaching the most people with the message of the gospel.
In each episode, Laurie provides practical insight on faith, culture and current events with an emphasis on the saving power of the gospel message.
"I'm new, not that strong of a Christian," one listener wrote in a review. "This [podcast] is making me stronger, giving me knowledge and hope at the same time. As a new Christian, I've had a struggle understanding Christ. I don't attend church but I try to just put my eyes on the Lord, just lay my life in front of him. I'm not perfect, but I am finally happy now."
"After my husband and son were killed in a car crash, I wanted to die," another listener wrote in a review. "Pastor Greg's sermons were so real and always hit home with me ... I listened to Pastor Greg's teaching and preaching everyday and it helped me see the truth in Gods' Word and gave me something uplifting and strengthening to cling to"
With Laurie's Sundays messages, weekly radio programs and special releases each Saturday, Harvest now releases content almost daily. Along with the interviews Laurie has done with influential speakers and past Harvest Crusades, Harvest is working on making classic, archived messages from Laurie's 40+ years in ministry available for streaming.
Episodes are available to stream on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Google Podcasts. Current and featured episodes are also available at https://harvest.org/resources/podcasts/.
