Lecrae Reveals Plans to Retire from Music

Hip hop artist Lecrae's upcoming album, Restoration may be his last album. Lecrae talks about his retirement in a recent Rapzilla's "Community During Chaos" Instagram live session on Tuesday alongside artists Coop and CJ Luckey.
Towards the end of Lecrae's interview with our Editor-in-Chief, Justin Sarachik, Lecrae stated that 'Restoration' might be his last album. "Restoration, I mean, honestly, everybody says it's the best album ever made, but this is for real. And this might be it for me," Lecrae told Rapzilla. "I mean I'll probably do some mixtapes, but I don't know if I'm making another full-featured album."
He said that is "how he is feeling right now" and he's not sure if he'll ever make another full-featured album.
He added that the project is the best he has ever made as it is deeply personal and that he'll probably make a final Church Clothes mixtape but then "close that chapter" and allow "the new blood" (referring to the next generation of artists) to come.
"It's a younger generation right now man, so you know, I feel like I may give them another Church Clothes and close a chapter out," he said. "There's some new blood out here and I just want the new blood to come and do their thing. So Restoration feels like, 'Yo, here it is.' I don't know [but] that's how I'm feeling."
