Brooke Fraser Celebrates the 10th Anniversary of "Flags"

2010 marks the 10th anniversary of the release of Brooke Fraser's album Flags. Fraser, also known as Brooke Ligertwood is also part of the Hillsong Worship team and has crafted and lead worship on anthems such as "Hosanna" and "What a Beautiful name." Flags, Fraser's third solo album, was released on 8 October 2010 by Sony Music Entertainment. Fraser undertook a concert tour in New Zealand, North America, the United Kingdom and Australia to promote the album.
The album has been commercially successful in Australia and New Zealand, peaking at No. 3 and No. 1 on the charts of those countries respectively. It has also appeared on various Billboard charts. The lead single, country-pop song "Something in the Water", has peaked at No. 1 on the New Zealand Singles Chart.
Fraser reflects: "My third album as an artist and songwriter, but my first as a producer - championed and supported by a killer team of musos, engineers, management and label who backed me all the way (not to mention my #1 husband and partner in life, crime and creativity @scottligertwood who also, incidentally, wrote the chorus of a song called Something in the Water that helped put this record on the map).
The impact of this particular record continues to astound me, and even some of the stories I've heard in the last couple of days leave me humbled.
To all of you who came out to the shows everywhere from Austin to Auckland, Milan to Melbourne, Berlin to Brussels, Belfast to Birmingham and everywhere in between... what a pleasure to have your ear for the night and perhaps the years since."
To clebrate, Fraser has recorded a 3-episode podcast diving into the creation, making of and touring of the record. The first episode is out now and it is called "Resonate: 10 Years of Brooke Fraser's Flags." Moreover, visit Fraser's website for new merchandise.
