Jesus rose from the grave and who did He first appear to? A woman. Jesus spoke to Mary Magdalene by name, directing her to tell His disciples and closest friends that He had risen. A woman who had struggled deeply with sin, who had suffered, who had been judged, been looked over and pushed away, was seen by a faithful God. The forgiveness of Jesus changed her life and God's faithfulness to her is seen so beautifully in this moment after the resurrection. In new single 'A Woman', FAITHFUL & Amy Grant tell the story of the beauty of God's love and acceptance on a peaceful melody featuring Ellie Holcomb's warm vocals.
Ellie Holcomb shares about her involvement, "FAITHFUL is one of those projects that shaped me. I felt power in coming together with a group of women to tell the stories of a faithful God through the eyes of women throughout Scripture. In this project I experienced sisterhood and the beauty that comes when women simply speak about what they have seen of God. I can't wait to see how God will use these words and melodies to stir up hope and an invitation to deeper camaraderie and community among women in the church."
