Asaun Bynum Releases "Heart Cry" Featuring Kelsey McCloud
He is a father, a U.S. Air Force Sergeant, a community servant, singer, songwriter, and Gospel recording artist. Asaun Bynum made his entry in Gospel music by singing in the Stellar Award-winning The Mount Unity Choir under the direction of his father Minister Earl Bynum. He decided to take a bold step to launch a solo career by recording and releasing two successful singles "Amazed" (2017), and "Days of Elijah" (2019).
Remaining under the development of Earl Bynum's record label Lrae Entertainment, Asaun has continued to carve a path for himself in Gospel and Christian music by consistently crooning sophisticated vocals with theologically sound lyrics that exalt Christ. His new offering is a simply beautiful Contemporary Christian song called "Heart Cry".
Listen To: "Heart Cry"
"I am humbled by this song and that God has allowed me to write, record, and sing this song," says Asaun. "Every time I listen to this song I don't hear myself, I hear the music, I feel the music and I experience the music. This is the experience I want people to have when they listen to Heart Cry. I'm inviting people to go on this journey with me and to listen to the words and let it touch their soul and pray that it causes their spirit to leap."
He continues, "This song is the epitome and essence of who I am as a human and as an artist and a worshipper. I'm extremely grateful to the Lord for trusting me to create this sound and this song to help people draw closer to Him."
"Heart Cry" features guest vocalist Kelsey McCloud and is reminiscent of the raw cries often expressed by biblical psalmists. This worship ballad and prayer is an eloquent and evocative musical experience that takes listeners deep into the vulnerable ambiance of hope with reason to praise when so many are often in the middle of broken dreams and challenging matters of the heart.
When asked about writing this song, Terrance Howell, President of Revival Music Company explains, "We locked ourselves in the studio. We didn't just want to create a song, but we wanted to share a story. This is Asaun's story and his message to the world. We are very honored to play a small part in sharing that message."
"Heart Cry" is written by Asaun, Terrance Howell, Jesse Wood, and Stuart McCloud of Revival Music Company. The single is available on all digital music platforms now.
