Josh Baldwin Challenges Us to Step Out in Faith with New Radio Version of "Into the Wild"
Dove Award-nominated singer/songwriter and worship leader Josh Baldwin has released a brand new radio version of his song "Into the Wild." The song is a joyful declaration to let go of our past, our fears, and our sins and to venture into a life of faith with God. Produced by We The Kingdom's Ed Cash and The Creak Music's David Leonard, Brad King and Seth Talley, the song is taken from Baldwin's latest album Evidence.
"As this song circulates into new places (and hopefully on your local radio station)," Baldwin shares over social media, "I pray that you will feel encouraged and inspired to step out in faith and follow the God-given dreams of your heart and fulfill His purpose for your life."
One of the song's highlights is its video. The video features Baldwin's own son. " Also if you haven't seen the music video for Into The Wild yet (featuring my son Bear!)." Watch the video here.
Here are the lyrics:
[Verse 1]
There is a calling
You've placed upon me
I've felt it all my life
Step out with both feet
Walk on the water
Leave my past behind
[Pre-Chorus]
I wanna follow, follow Your heart
In the face of the unknown
I wanna trust You, trust who You are
When I let go, I'm halfway home
[Chorus]
Into the wild (Oh)
It's time to dream like a child again
Into the wild (Oh)
Letting go is where life begins
[Verse 2]
We're not so different
We're all just children
Under weathered skin
Forever searching
We're on a journey
Back to innocence
[Pre-Chorus]
So I will follow, follow Your heart
In the face of the unknown
I will trust You, trust who You are
When I let go, I'm halfway home
[Chorus]
Into the wild (Oh)
It's time to dream like a child again
Into the wild (Oh)
Letting go is where life begins
Into the wild (Oh)
It's time to dream like a child again
Into the wild (Oh)
Letting go is where life begins
[Bridge]
Yeah, I can see it now, see it now
Heaven is all around, all around
Yeah, I can see it now, see it now
Heaven is all around
[Pre-Chorus]
As I follow, follow Your heart
There's no fear of the unknown
So I trust You, trust who You are
As I let go, I'm finally home
[Chorus]
Into the wild (Oh)
It's time to dream like a child again
Into the wild (Oh)
Letting go is where life begins
Into the wild (Oh)
It's time to dream like a child again
Into the wild (Oh)
Letting go is where life begins
Letting go is where life begins
