Lydia Laird Honors Mental Health Awareness Month with a Cover of Justin Bieber's "Hold On"

May is Mental Health Awareness (MHA) month in the US. Singer and songwriter Lydia Laird wants to hoor MHA by releasing her cover of Justin Bieber's "Hold On." Laird's own version of "Hold On" has recently hit the #1 spot on Apple Music's Pop Cover Stars playlist.
"I can't tell you how much the words of this song connected with me," Laird explains, "As someone who has dealt with mental health struggles off and on throughout my life, I know how important it is for every person to know they are not alone, that they are loved, and if they just hold on, there is hope... Thank you @Justin Bieber and @Jon Bellion for writing this song. Many of us needed it."
This song is specially recorded for those of us who are feeling the blues. "If you feel hurt, alone or trapped, please know you are so very loved and there IS ALWAYS HOPE. I need you to HOLD ON..."
"Hold On" was first recorded by Bieber on his latest studio album, Justice. The song, written by Bieber alongside Ali Tamposi, Jon Bellion and producers Andrew Watt and Louis Bell, peaked at number four on the US Billboard Hot 100.
