Stryper to Release CD/DVD "Live At the Whisky" on September 23

Fans of Christian metallic rock band Stryper are in for treat on September 23. Released via Frontier Records will be a live CD/DVD "Live At the Whisky" pack from the band. This is the concert was recorded at a sold-out show last November at the famous Whisky a Go Go on Sunset Blvd.
Lead singer and front man Michael Sweet has this to say about the upcoming record: "We've always wanted to record a live album that captures the rawness of the band and this is it! We couldn't be more thrilled than to have captured this at the infamous Whisky, where it all began for us. After 30 years, we're still proud to do what we do and hopefully it shows. This is an intimate performance, the way it should be."
The CD of "Live At the Whisky" will feature 16 songs and they range from Stryper favorites from over the years to songs from last year's "No More Hell To Pay." The DVD of "Live At The Whisky." on the other hand, also contains the music videos for "No More Hell To Pay" and "Sympathy" from their latest album No More Hell To Pay. Stryper is one of the top Christian rock bands of all time. Comprised of the original line-up, Stryper has been rocking since 1984, and is responsible for such '80s metal classic albums as Soldiers Under Command, To Hell With The Devil and In God We Trust. Stryper is also the first band to ever have two songs in MTV's Top 10 simultaneously with their hits "Free" and "Honestly." After a sabbatical for much of the 1990's, Stryper returned strong in the early 21st century. To date, the Dove Award-winning and Grammy nominated band has sold upwards of 10 million records worldwide
