Brooke Ligertwood Reveals Her Motherly Heart with "I Belong to Jesus (Dylan's Song)"

GRAMMY® Award-winning songwriter, producer and critically-acclaimed artist Brooke Ligertwood takes the time to talk about her new song "I Belong to Jesus (Dylan's Song)." Written by Ligertwood and Chris Davenport, the song was written after Ligertwood's son gave his life to Christ.
Ligertwood explains, "Dylan is my eldest daughter that recently turned 6. Earlier this year, she gave her heart to Jesus. I remember after she had made that decision and invited Jesus to live in her heart, she was so confident about it. And I asked her `do you feel different?' She replied, `No mummy, but my heart was beating "yes, yes, yes."
"This song is all of the things that I want her to be able to know and confess through her life about what it means to belong to Jesus.
"I'm forever grateful to Chris Davenport who wrote this chorus for Dylan and then asked me if we could finish this song together for her (and for all of us). What a deep and precious gift."
"I Belong to Jesus (Dylan's Song)" is taken from Ligertwood's new albim SEVEN. The album consists of nine newly penned worship songs written by Ligertwood and husband/longtime collaborator Scott, Jason Ingram (who co-produced the album with her), Pastor Steven Furtick, Brandon Lake, Phil Wickham and friends.
