Keith Urban Honors the Late Naomi Judd with "Love Can Build a Bridge"

Country music superstar Keith Urban honored the late Naomi Judd on Tuesday (May 3) with his acoustic cover of the Judds' 1990 inspirational hit, "Love Can Build a Bridge." Naomi, one half of the country music dynamic duo the Judds, died last Saturday. Besides their big country hits, the Judds were also known for recording gospel leaning tunes such as "Guardian Angels," "When King Jesus Calls His Children Home," "Love Can Build a Bridge," "I Know Where I'm Going," and many others.
"I want to send a quick and very heartfelt acknowledgment out to the late great, very influential Naomi Judd. What the Judds did was astounding through the '80s, and she was the queen and the matriarch of it all. And she wrote this song, which is pretty amazing," Urban shared.
"Naomi Judd sowed so many important seeds in her precious time here," Urban added in a social media post after the show. "Here's one of the many. On the other side of the world in Manchester tonight they were all singing 'Love Can Build a Bridge.' Thank you Naomi. We love you."
"Love Can Build a Bridge" waswritten by Naomi Judd, Paul Overstreet, and John Barlow Jarvis. The song was released in 1990 as the second single and title track from their album of the same name. It was a top-five country hit in mid-1991.
