Ryan Stevenson Helps Battle Anxieties with the Prayerful "I Cry Jesus"

Award-winning artist and songwriter Ryan Stevenson releases his brand new single "I Cry Jesus" today. Written by Stevenson, Bryan Fowler & TobyMac, the song is a prayer of surrender, especially in times when we are anxious and fearful.
And I cry Jesus, when I'm barely holding on
When my hope is all but gone
You are the word that I speak
I cry Jesus, the name above all names
Every minute every day
You are the one that I need
I cry, I cry, Jesus
Stevenson reveals, "May this become our prayer from now on! In the stress, angst, fear & uncertainty- in EVERY situation, let out FIRST response be to cry out to the Lord! Let Jesus, his name, be the word that we speak."
"I Cry Jesus" is available now.
With five No. 1 singles (three as an artist and two as a co-writer), a GRAMMY nomination, Billboard Music Award nomination, a Dove Award (2017), ASCAP honors, and major tour bills with the likes of TobyMac, MercyMe, Newsboys, and Matt Maher, among others, Ryan Stevenson has already distinguished himself as a rare talent whose unique perspective guides his honest lyrics and sonic sensibilities.
He released his first book, Eye of the Storm: Experiencing God When You Can't See Him (Harvest House) in the summer of 2020. Paul Young, author of "The Shack," shares, "Ryan is deeply committed to the honesty of the journey. I am honored to be a witness to his courage and determination and his wholehearted pursuit of authentic truth-telling and creative craft."
