Mission Impossible 5 Spoilers: the Female Lead in the Latest Installment Goes to Rebecca Fergusson
When we last talked about Mission Impossible 5, we said that Tom Cruise may come back this time with a female lead that will play his partner rather than personal assistant as we are so used to seeing when the male lead has had quite a run within a franchise. Apparently, this time, the lead female role for the upcoming Mission Impossible 5 will go to Rebecca Ferguson, who was nominated for a golden globe for her work in the "The White Queen,"
She is also supposed to appear alongside Dwayne Johnson in Hercules. So she definitely has the metal to take the role, no matter how coveted it was. She is a Swedish actress who grew up in her home country and became established in London. Apparently the role had been offered to Jessica Chastain but she declined it, and the rest is history. There are going to be about 10 Hollywood agencies that claw after her after this season definitely because there are big things for her everywhere.
Apparently Tom Cruise will co-produce the next installment of the Mission Impossible film with J.J Abrams as well as Bryan Burk, and David Ellison. The Ghost Protocol, which was the previous installment, was the highest growing film of his career. This time there are reports that they even got permission by the British parliament to shoot some scenes within the House of Commons, action packed no-less. A lot of the scenes are going to be done in London apparently this time. As for the casting, Simon Pegg (Benji Dunn) and Jeremy Renner (Wiliam Brandt) are set to reprise their roles while Alec Baldwin has been cast as the CIA director. Mission Impossible 5 is set to premiere around Christmas time next year as a good action flick well timed for the holidays.
