Peanuts 3D Movie Spoilers, Trailer, Teasers, Release Dates. And More
"For the first time ever," according to 20th Century Fox, "Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the rest of the gang we know and love from Charles M. Schulz's timeless "Peanuts" comic strip will be making their big-screen debut; like they've never been seen before in a CG-Animated Feature film in 3D."
The first Peanuts film to be seen in 3D will be released on November 6, 2015, to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the original Charles M. Schulz syndicated comic strip as well as to mark the 50th anniversary of "A Charlie Brown Christmas," the first ever prime-time animated TV special based on the strip.
Blue Sky Studios, the Fox-owned computer animation studio responsible for such hits as Ice Age and Rio, will do the film animation based on a screenplay written by Charles M. Schulz' son Craig with his grandson Bryan and Cornelius Uliano. The plot is still unknown but rumors have it that the main characters will be Charlie Brown and Snoopy and will involve their romantic interests, the Little Red Haired Girl and Fifi the white poodle. A teaser trailer for the upcoming 3D Peanuts movie has already been uploaded to the web.
Directed by Steve Marino, the film will be officially known as "Peanuts by Schulz." So far, the only known member of cast is the late Bill Melendez. His archived voice recordings will be used for the Snoopy and Woodstock characters. While also not much of the plot is known, co-producer Paul Feig at least promises us that they will not stray away from the original comic strip and the TV classics. He told Forbes, "Snoopy will not be rapping. No one will be twerking, we're in good hands."
