Nicki Minaj and Tasha Cobbs Leonard's "Blessings" Debuts at No. 1 on the Gospel Charts

Rapper Nicki Minaj and Tasha Cobbs Leonard's new song "Blessings" blasts in at #1 on its debut week on Billboard's Hot Gospel Songs, Gospel Streaming Songs, and Gospel Digital Song Sales charts. The track appears on Minaj's new album, Pink Friday 2.
"I saw the blessings come down when I start praisin' you," Minaj sings. "You gave me spiritual gifts I was afraid to use / Ain't never leave me / Always receives me / That's why they can't get me / I know that He's always with me."
This marks the second time Minaj and Leonard have collaborated together. Back in 2017, Leonard featured Minaj on her song "I'm Getting Ready." Leonard was met with backlash for collaborating with Minaj, who is known for lewd content.
"I've seen the Nicki that is off the stage and that Nicki has a great relationship with God," Leonard explained to Essence. "My assignment with this song was for a particular audience. Some [of the listeners] have never experienced God ever and she exposed that audience in her way, to the God that she loves."
