'Rise of the Tomb Raider' Release Date 2015 Update, Watch Game Trailer Featuring Lara Croft Here (VIDEO)
In a surprise to many, Rise of the Tomb Raider was announced at the E3 2014 festival. They also unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming game (which you can check out above) that showed Lara transforming from a relic hunter who loved to uncover ancient secrets and artifacts to a brave leader after experiencing the sad events of the island in Tomb Raider.
Gameplay of most anticipated and gamers would love to get their hands on like Far Cry 4, Grand Theft Auto 5 for the Next-Gen consoles and more. Gamers also saw a lot of games being announced like Uncharted 4: The Thief's End, LittleBigPlanet 3, etc.
There was some information known about Rise of the Tomb Raider such as that the game will be available for the Next-Gen consoles as well as the Last-Gen consoles. Rise of the Tomb Raider will be available sometime in 2015 and it will be available on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
In the Rise of the Tomb Raider, Lara Croft will be searching to find a cure in order to save the life of a close friend. The upcoming game will be based off a comic book written by Dan Abnett and Nik Vincent. The summary shares: "Desperate for a remedy, Lara searches for anything that could help Sam. A wisp of hope arising from a myth gives Lara purpose: the story of an ancient and mysterious artifact that could heal her dying friend, and possibly help explain the supernatural events she witnessed on Yamatai."
Developers, Crystal Dynamics and BradyGames, also share that there is going to be a prequel to the game, and a graphic novel titled The Ten Thousand Immortals. The novel is planned for a October 2014 release and is expected to bridge gaps between Tomb Raider and Rise of the Tomb Raider.
