Natalie Grant is #1 Most Added at AC Radio with Dolly Parton Collaboration, “Step By Step”

Curb Records recording artist Natalie Grant is #1 most added at AC radio this week with her collaboration with Dolly Parton, "Step By Step." The single also makes its AC radio chart debut at #39.
"In 1996, 'Step By Step' is a song I would blast on cassette in my beat up Volkswagen Golf as I drove to my job at Medicare. The dream when I moved to Nashville was music, not Medicare, but I had to do what was necessary to keep going," shares Grant. "This song was my reminder to keep putting one foot in front of the other. If you would've told me then that one day, I would not only be recording this song, but doing it with the one and only, Dolly Parton, I never ever would've believed it. I still can't believe it."
From Grant's 2023 album release, Seasons, the nine-time GRAMMY® nominee enlists the incomparable Dolly Parton to help her put her stamp on the perseverance-drive track, previously recorded by Whitney Houston for the 1996 blockbuster hit, "The Preacher's Wife." Together with the Country legend, Grant adds her soulful vocal runs to the '90s hit that was written by Annie Lennox. "Step By Step" follows Grant's last AC radio single, "You Will Be Found," which was inside the Top 10 for 4 weeks and is her highest charting song to date at mainstream radio.
In February, Grant, a Recording Academy® Nashville Chapter Governor, addressed the Tennessee House of Representatives on behalf of the Recording Academy and Human Artistry Campaign in support of the ELVIS Act, which later passed into law. The ELVIS Act is the first bill in the nation with a focus on safeguarding the core elements of artistic identity: voices and likenesses from harmful and unethical AI-generated deepfakes that are becoming more prevalent.
