Ryan Larkins Drops Surprise Project, "The Gospel Takes"

Award-winning songwriter and Red Street Records recording artist Ryan Larkins surprised fans today with a 10-track album of classic Gospel hymns, songs cherished by Larkins as the foundations of his musical upbringing. As a Tennessee native and the son of a Pentecostal preacher only introduced to Country music in his early twenties, this collection of hymns are not only special to Ryan but are known and loved around the world.
Ryan shares, "The Gospel Takes is a project that I am very passionate about! These songs have meant so much to me throughout my life. They were recorded in the most simple way, to let the words and the melodies take you back to an old oak pew in a little country church. I hope they move you as they have me!"
Co-produced by Larkins alongside Adam Engelhart, The Gospel Takes follows a notable television performance of his recently released rendition of "White Christmas" (LISTEN HERE) on American Country Network's holiday special, American Country Christmas. You can watch Ryan's performance HERE.
As The Gospel Takes marks his final release of 2024, Ryan Larkins heads into the New Year with a nearly unparalleled breakout year in his wake thanks to ACM and CMA nominations for Song the Year, a nod as MusicRow's 2024 Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year, the recipient of NSAI's 2024 Song of the Year award, a BMI award for Song of The Year and a Grande Ole Opry debut.
