TobyMac Releases New Studio Album, "Heaven on My Mind"

7x GRAMMY®-winner TOBYMAC releases his 9th studio album, HEAVEN ON MY MIND, today, along with YouTube premiere of the title track's lyric video, where Premium members can be a part of his AfterParty and get an exclusive bonus video. The longtime songwriter disguised as a pop artist and the stories behind the highly anticipated release is profiled this week on Billboard.com and People.com with both outlets praising TOBYMAC's ability to channel the pain of losing his firstborn son into relatable, hope-fueled music.
On the personal 12-track collection, the multi-Platinum artist stands at the crossroads of suffering and wonder and finds himself some joy in the brokenness. But it's his questions about eternity that ultimately color HEAVEN ON MY MIND.
As he continues on his journey, TOBYMAC is more resolute in his faith. He's more sure of his calling. And he's more confident in his God than ever before. HEAVEN ON MY MIND isn't simply a perspective shift, it's a changing of seasons as a very long winter turns into spring, following 2022's GRAMMY®-nominated, Dove Award-winning LP, LIFE AFTER DEATH, which debuted atop Billboard's Christian Albums chart and notched an impressive five No. 1s.
"HEAVEN ON MY MIND is this journey of going from total ashes to crawling to walking to standing up. It was me figuring out how to relate to God again, leading to all these questions, and ultimately something beautiful," Toby reflects. "I have a deeper relationship with God than I've ever had, because I walked through the valley with Him, and I decided I trusted Him."
TOBYMAC has already been treating concertgoers to selections from HEAVEN ON MY MIND - including a stripped-back performance of his latest radio climber, "a lil Church (nobody's too lost)," currently spinning on 63 stations and already Top 20 and climbing at Mediabase AC, along with an amped-up live version of his chart-topping lead single, "Nothin' Sweeter" whose original version spent 9 weeks at No. 1 - in cities across the country on this year's Hits Deep Tour. Capped by a full headlining set from TOBYMAC and the Diverse City Band, the 2025 multi-artist outing also features Crowder, CAIN, Ryan Stevenson and Terrian. Commanding numerous sell-outs, the 32-date trek runs through March. Remaining tickets are available at TOBYMAC.com.
Pulling back the curtain on HEAVEN ON MY MIND he confessed "for the last few years eternity has not been something I thought much about but lately it's been on my mind a lot. I want to put treasure in Heaven which begins with loving well, being compassionate and treating people with dignity. We can make it as confusing as we want, but loving God and loving people is the road I want to walk."
