Carrie Underwood Celebrates 20th Anniversary Of "Some Hearts" With Vinyl Release

Multi-platinum, award-winning artist Carrie Underwood is celebrating the 20th anniversary of her record-breaking debut album, Some Hearts, which launched her into superstardom following her 2005 American Idol win. Some Hearts with the release of a special edition vinyl via Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music. The record is available for pre-order now, ahead of its Nov. 14 release.
Originally released on November 15, 2005, Some Hearts became the best-selling debut album by a solo female artist in country music history and remains a defining project in Underwood's career. Featuring chart-topping hits like "Jesus, Take the Wheel," "Before He Cheats," and "Wasted," the album seamlessly blended country, pop, and faith-inspired themes, setting a new standard for crossover appeal.
The album's lead single "Jesus, Take the Wheel." The track blends country and Christian music, offering a message of surrender, faith, and trust in God during times of crisis.
It became a major hit, spending six weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and earning Carrie Underwood two Grammy Awards, including Best Female Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Song. It also won recognition in the Christian music world with multiple Dove Awards. "Jesus, Take the Wheel" remains one of Underwood's most iconic songs, resonating deeply with listeners for its heartfelt lyrics and spiritual message.
