Here's what you need to know now about the Nokia Lumia 730: After a series of upgrades on its X20 and X25 models, Nokia is all set to launch a mid-range Windows based phone. While the Nokia Lumia 730 release date has yet to be confirmed, Windows has released invites to its press conference at the IFA event in Berlin on September 4, 2014.

IFA is reputedly the world's leading trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances.

Industry insiders speculate that this is where the announcement for the Nokia Lumia 730 and Nokia Lumia 830 will take place.

Expectations are high as Nokia Lumia 730 and 830 are two of the Finnish company's highly anticipated phones after Microsoft's acquisition of the company earlier this year.

Measuring only 134.7 x 68.5 mm, images of the Nokia Lumia 730 leaked online this month revealed that the smartphone is the first product developed by Nokia to have a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, earning its reputation as the best smartphone for taking selfies in the market today.

The Nokia Lumia 730 specs feature a 4.7-inch, 720p display, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 6.5-megapixel rear camera, 8GB internal storage, microSD card support, 4G LTE capability, Qi wireless charging, and a 2,000mAh battery.  The selfie phone runs on the latest Windows OS, Windows 8.1. Windows earlier reported that it is one of the three top smartphone operating systems worldwide, and has the fastest-growing user base.
