The Flash TV Series News, Spoilers, Trailers and Updates: New Poster Released Online
The Flash will be premiering next month on October 7, and now the show has already released an official poster for the upcoming series.
The Flash, the fastest man alive, is seen zipping through a street in Central City leaving behind red lightning-like trails behind him, creating the Flash logo. Cool poster, but it doesn't really make sense. It's as if he went backwards twice, for the sake of making the logo appear; it just makes it really counterproductive. Anyways, that's not really the point is it?
The new poster also teases us on what to expect from the show. The new poster actually has at least 9 Easter eggs that allude to some plot points and characters that may, or may not appear in the upcoming show.
Here's the list of the Easter Eggs.
- First off, at the upper right of the poster we see a building with a big 'Q' on it. That's the Queen Consolidated building. As all fans of the TV show "Arrow" Oliver Queen/Arrow is the CEO of Queen Consolidated, and is a friend to Barry Allen/The Flash.
- Below the Queen Consolidated building, we can see the S.T.A.R. Labs building. S.T.A.R. Labs is of course the one responsible for the botched activation of the particle accelerator, which causes the bolt of lightning that struck Barry Allen.
- Below that, by the corner of the street, we see Big Belly Burger. In Arrow, this is where John Diggle's sister-in-law works as a waitress, and is also the favorite place of Oliver Queen to eat some burgers. In the comics, it's also known as a subsidiary of LexCorp.
- Across the other corner of Big Belly Burger is a graffiti that says "GRODD LIVES." Grodd is known to comic book fans as the gorilla with hyper-intelligence and telepathy, who gained his powers when a radioactive meteor crashed in is African home.
- Across the street is another graffiti to what seems to look like the same ad for Palmer Industries from the teaser trailer of the Flash. Palmer Industries is owned by Ray Palmer, who later becomes Atom.
- Next to that, behind the fountain seems to be the Central City Police Department building, but I can't be sure.
- Above that we see the AmerTek building. AmerTek Industries is a military industrial firm that employed Dr. John Henry Irons, who later becomes the hero Steel.
- Next to it is a building for Kord Enterprises. It was featured at least twice in Arrow TV show, and in the comics is known to be the company owned by Ted Kord, who will become the Bluebeetle.
- The building in the background across Queen Consolidated seems to be Stagg Enterprises, owned by Simon Stagg.
That's a lot of references in a single poster. I guess we'll just have to wait for the show to premiere on October 7 on The CW.
