Jim Parsons Big Bang Theory Star Wins Fourth Emmy Award: Jim Parsons Has Won His Fourth Emmy Award For Lead Actor In A Comedy For His Role In The Big Bang Theory
We have the latest news for you on Jim Parsons' fourth Emmy award. The Big Bang Theory star, Jim Parsons has won his fourth Emmy Award for lead actor in a comedy for his role in The Big Bang Theory. Jim Parsons stars as a nerdy physicist, Sheldon Cooper in the series. He beat Ricky Gervais, Matt Le Blanc, Louis CK, Don Cheadle and William H Macy to win the award.
Parsons has won the award four times in the last 5 years, and he only lost once to Jon Cryer from two and a Half Men in 2012. In his acceptance speech, Parsons who is 41 years old thanked his father, who he said died before all the 'craziness' surrounding his success in the Big Bang Theory began. He said, "He encouraged me to be an actor. He never discouraged me to be an actor, and in a career that hinges so much on confidence a lot of time, that was really a great gift."
Jim Parsons, who stars alongside Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco in the show, is set to become one of the highest paid TV actors ever after signing a new contract which will enable him to earn $1 million per episode. In addition to Emmy Award-winner Jim Parsons scoring his fourth consecutive win to accompany his Big Bang pay rise, other Emmy award winners included the cast of Breaking Bad, which saw a fourth Best Lead Actor win for Bryan Cranston as chemistry teacher-turned-meth drug lord, Walter White otherwise known as Heisenberg. Aaron Paul also won a 3rd Emmy award for best supporting actor. Anna Gunn became a two-time Emmy Award winner for the Best Supporting Actress in Drama. More to that, the now-departed much beloved AMC series also took another Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing, and also another Best Drama Emmy.
This is good news for the fans of The Big Bang Theory since their favorite actor has taken the award again. With the pay rise that Jim Parson and other co-stars have managed to get, it just keeps getting better and better. We shall keep you informed on any updates about the Big Bang Theory.
