Supernatural Season 10 Release Date, News, Trailer, and Updates: New Poster Released for the Upcoming Season

On Tuesday, The CW has released a new poster in anticipation of the Season 10 premiere of Supernatural.

The poster (pictured above) features stars Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins and Mark Sheppard.

Supernatural debuted in 2005 and introduced the characters of Sam and Dean Winchester (played by Padalecki and Ackles), brothers who hunt demons, ghosts, monsters and other form of creatures. In the season 9 finale, Dean is killed by Metatron and caused him to become a demon himself because he was under the influence of the Mark of Cain and his brother Sam is now in a desperate search to find him. The tagline for the new promotional poster, 'Wrestle Your Demons,' seems to be appropriate for the upcoming season. Here's a quick premise for season 10 from Hypable:

"Season 10 begins with Sam's frantic search for his missing brother, who is gone without a trace. The road to recovering the wayward Dean takes Sam down dark paths, with consequences that will shake the boys to their core. Meanwhile, Castiel has to pick up the pieces in the aftermath of Metatron's campaign. With his grace failing and rogue angels still on the loose, Cass will face the ticking clock of his own mortality as all-new threats emerge to once again push all of our heroes to their limits."

It's been announced that the third episode of the upcoming season is titled "Soul Survivor" and was directed by Ackles. The fifth episode is the series' 200^th episode and is titled "Fan Fiction" which is written by Robbie Thompson and is said to be somewhat of a musical.

Supernatural Season 10 on October 7 Tuesday 9/8c and a special featuring interviews with the cast and producers airs October 6, 9pm.
