'We Are Your Friends' Movie Starring Zac Efron from Director Max Joseph 'Catfish' Releases First Trailer, Watch Here (VIDEO)
Zac Efron has been shooting his new movie We Are Your Friends with director Max Joseph ("Catfish"). They have released the movies first trailer which shows off Efron's skateboarding and DJ skills. You get to also see behind the scenes footage from Max and the making of the movie. You can watch the trailer above.
Along with Efron, the movie stars Jonny Weston, Shiloh Fernandez and Emily Ratajkowski.
Plot: Cole (Zac Efron), a 23-year-old DJ who struggles in the Hollywood's electronic dance music scene, has dreams of becoming a major record producer. Eventually, older DJ, James (Wes Bentley), begins to mentor him, but Cole makes a connection with James' girlfriend, Sophie (Emily Ratajkowski). When Cole's relationship with Sophie blossoms and his friendship with James begins to break down as a result, he is forced into difficult decisions over his future.
We Are Your Friends does not have an official release date yet, but will hit theaters in 2015.
Zac Efron became known for his lead roles in the Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical, the WB series Summerland, and the 2007 film version of the Broadway musical Hairspray. Efron has since starred in the films 17 Again, Me and Orson Welles, Charlie St. Cloud, New Year's Eve, The Lucky One, That Awkward Moment, Neighbors, and The Lorax (voice only).
Director Max Joseph co-hosts the popular MTV show "Catfish" along with Nev Schulman. The reality-based docu-series television series investigates the truths and lies of online dating. The series is based on the 2010 film Catfish with Nev Schulman. It premiered on November 12, 2012 and finished up Season 3 Summer of 2014.
