'Terminator: Genisys' Release Date 2015 Announced Along with Two More Sequels Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke & Jai Courtney
Terminator: Genisys has been given an official release date of July 1, 2015. Along with this news was the reveal that two more sequels are in the works and already have release dates as well. The second film is set to release on May 19, 2017 and the third film on June 29, 2018.
Arnold Schwarzenegger took to his instagram account to share some big news with Terminator fans. As you can see in the picture above, he posted a picture on his instagram of him sitting in a chair revealing the name Terminator: Genisys, which was his way of revealing the title for Terminator 5.
He then wrote a status about the upcoming sci-fi film: "Hasta la vista, baby. I want to thank the cast and crew of Terminator Genisys for a fantastic shooting. It was challenging, it was fun, and it was rewarding. From our director to the producers, from the camera team to catering, from visual effects to hair and makeup - we couldn't have done it without you. I can't wait to see our finished project, and I know we'll remind the fans why they fell in love with the Terminator."
Not too much is known about the fifth Terminator movie yet and the staff has done a good job of keeping things quiet from leaking.
Along with Schwarzenegger, the cast includes Emilia Clarke ("Game of Thrones"), Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney, Matt Smith, Dayo Okeniyi, Byung-hun Lee and J.K. Simmons. Schwarzenegger will be the only star of the original movie to return. The movie was directed by Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World) and written by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier.
Will you head to the theaters to see Terminator: Genisys when it releases next Summer?
