'Exodus' This Epic Movie Will Soon Hit the Theaters Know its Casts, Release Date and Other News Right Here
We have not seen the last of the bible story-based movies yet. Hollywood will again see the release of another movie following its current trend of turning epic bible stories into film. This coming winter, 20th Century Fox is set to premiere Exodus: Gods and Kings.
The movie is about the story of Moses and the 600,000 Hebrew slave's exodus from Egypt based on the Old Testament in the Bible. The film follows Moses' and his adoptive Pharoah brother Ramses' conflict. The recently released official trailer revealed scenes of the plague and possibly, the epic parting of the Red Sea.
Director Sir Ridley Scott (of the Gladiator, Hannibal, Black Hawk Down and Prometheus fames) has noted that this is his biggest epic film yet. Scott noted that the budget and effects used where of the same grand proportion as the story but a major focus in the movie is the conflict between the brothers as per the movie tag line, "Once brothers, now enemies."
This epic film stars a lineup of award-winning and powerhouse casts with Christian Bale (Reign of Fire and The Dark Knight films fame) leading the role as Moses, Joel Edgerton (The Great Gatsby) as the pharaoh Ramses, Sigourney Weaver (Alien film series and Avatar) as Queen Tuya, Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad TV series) as Joshua, John Turturro (Transformers film series) as Seti and Sir Ben Kingsley (Gandhi and Schindler's List fame) as Nun, the father of Joshua.
Exodus: Gods and Kings will be showing in 2D and Digital 3D cinemas world wide on December 12, 2014.
