Captain America 3 Release Date: 2015 Captain America Starts Filming in Atlanta
Captain America 3 begins filming next spring in Atlanta. Captain America 3 is the sequel of Captain America 2 as well as the continuation of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Production of the movie will start by April 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia, as Collider reported recently.
The very first Captain America was first shot in UK, Los Angeles, and New York while the next Captain America was mostly shot in LA and Ohio. Now, the third Captain America will be done in Atlanta, Georgia. It is confirmed that the third installment of the film will be available in theaters in 2016.
Anthony Russo, Captain America 3 co-director said that for sure there would be more locations included in the film this time. "It's not an all-Atlanta shoot, it's a lot of stage work in Atlanta. There's other locations that are also involved that I don't think we can get into," he revealed.
What makes fans more excited about the upcoming installment is the information revealed by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo: the possibility of Hawkeye's participation, to be played by Jeremy Renner.
"I was gonna say Renner might be misremembering because he was supposed to be in Cap 2 but we couldn't make his schedule work [laughs]. Maybe that's what he's talking about. It's certainly difficult. Everyone involved in these films are all movie stars, and a lot of that has to do with the fact that they're in Marvel movies, so all of their schedules are booked up. It does become very complicated," Joe Russo said.
"There were iterations of Cap 2 that had Hawkeye and Widow in it, there was an iteration that had just Widow in it and there was an iteration that had nobody in it. You explore all of those iterations until you settle on what you think is the most potent or most powerful. And sometimes scheduling issues assist in that decision making process," he added.
