iOS 8 Download Time: Installation Details and Easy Hacks
Now that the new operating system for apple devices has arrived, what is the best way to download and install it? Apple support and help forums are loaded with questions around the procedure and yet the answers do not seem very supportive.
The problems start with the download of iOS 8 update for iPhone 4 and 5. System asks for around 5 gigabytes of free space, which is impossible for Apple users with just 8 GB storage space. Even after deleting apps, songs, and other data, space is not enough.
While some people suggest connecting phone to the iTunes and then updating to new iOS 8, the process seems very tiring and time consuming. In fact, some of the users have reported that this update consumes over five hours as they try to free up space and then end up losing important applications including Whats App and Truecaller. Of course the frustration is pretty high and many of the users want to switch back to their older operating system.
As a matter of fact, many times this update hangs in between and pops an error message half way through. In such conditions there is always a chance of system malfunction.
So, what's the best way to reduce iOS 8 update time and increase efficiency? According to Apple engineers, it is better that you prepare for the update during night keeping a few hours in hand. Delete unwanted data and keep the phone on Flight Mode so calls and messages do not interfere with it. Now download update and make sure that you do not use WiFi for anything else. This should ease the process.
