Samsung Galaxy Note Edge vs Galaxy Note 4 Specs, Design, Features, Price: Samsung's premium phablet the Galaxy Note 4 was unveiled but you still need to wait for Galaxy Note Edge to be Released
Samsung's premium phablet the Galaxy Note 4 was unveiled at the IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin. The company also announced a new version of the Note, the Note Edge. In some couple of days Samsung will start selling the Galaxy Note 4. But if you are waiting for the other Note that was unveiled at IFA earlier this month, then you need to wait for some more time.
According to a Samsung official, the Galaxy Note Edge will be treated by the company as a limited edition concept. This is a nice way of saying that it will forever be a niche device. But till then we can definitely check their (Galaxy Note Edge and Galaxy Note 4) specification and can compare them.
As the rumor mills had predicted, the display of the Galaxy Note 4 is a super AMOLED, and it's covered by 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3.
As far as the Note Edge is concerned, it has a 5.6-inch screen but the resolution is Quad HD+ at 2560 x 1440 + 160. (It has 160 pixels extra) The name of the device comes from the screen, where the right edge of the screen folds to cover the side of the device. Basically on this curved edge of the smart phone, users get quick access to frequently used apps, alerts and device functionality - even when the cover is closed or the screen is locked.
Like the Note 3, the Note4 also comes in two processor versions, one with a 2.7 GHz quad-core one and another with an 1.9 GHz Octa-core processor. The quad-core one is with Snapdragon 805 chipset, which brings LTE Cat 6 support and the Octa-core processor has Samsung's Exynos 5433 chipset and LTE Cat 4 connectivity. The Galaxy Note Edge is only coming in one version with a 2.7 GHz quad-core processor. The Note 4 will come only in a 32 GB version, while the Note Edge will have a 32 and 64 GB version. Both smart phones will support microSD up to 64 GB. It is strange Samsung hasn't launched a 64 GB version of the Note 4. The OS is Android 4.4 (KitKat) along with Samsung's TouchWiz UI as well
